I love African Art. Being blessed to visit the continent of my roots a few times, my favorite part of my journeys were shopping at the Art Markets. I adored the way the artist celebrated the curves, skin tone, and sexuality of the female in the most royal way. In wood or colored sand, the power and beauty of blackness was boldly displayed with respect. There, my hips, lips, and dark skin were the standard of excellence. There. I was truly a Queen in my rich and vast homeland. This is a tribute to my ancestors for laying the foundation for great self-esteem.
